Some of you have probably seen them out. The DNR has freezers at the fish cleaning stations at East Chicago (new this year), Marina Shores in Portage, and Washington Park in Michigan City.  We'll be deploying one at the new fish cleaning station at Portage Public Marina this month as well

We're looking for the heads of adipose-clipped steelhead and coho (all clipped fish of these species) and then the heads of small clipped kings (less than 22-25 inches, say). All stocked kings are clipped, but the bigger ones don't have tags, only the shakers and the 1 year olds will have tags for kings right now

If you are so inclined, please follow the instructions on the freezer top to fill out the data sheet, cut the snout off, and put both in the provided bags.

Angler returns help us evaluate the survival rate of different stockings, understand fish movement, and a bunch of other stuff
