We did pretty well going out of SJ this morning. We set lines by 7 am in 50 FOW and after a few minutes landed a steelhead on a Brad’s Thin Fish in red with black squiggles. A few minutes later we got a coho on the same setup. Then we took a 14 lbs king on an orange stubby dodger with green fly off a dipsy. We got a few more coho on a Maglip flatlined off the back and one on a spoon on the downrigger. We basically stayed in the 50-60 FOW range and had steady action. North or south troll were both good. We ended 8 for 9 before we had to turn to go back to port.

We marked fish here and there as we trolled. We even ran along the beach in 20 FOW and marked lots of fish. I assume they were coho but not sure since everyone was fishing 40-60 FIW. But we didn’t see any bait balls on the sonar. I’m wondering myself when the bait will show up.
