Tough night out there for us, fished 4:30-7. Water temps in the Martina at hammond were 64, inside the break walls at Cal Park 62. By the time we dropped lines between the gong and Wreck we had 74 on the surface. We ran 8 rods from 5 colors down to riggers bouncing bottom and managed 2 sheephead bites. Otheer than lack of fish it as a great night to be out with 1-2 footers and a good breeze to keep the flies at bay. Trips like this make me really want to buuy a probe. I wonder what the down temps were like closer to shore?

I am sure someone here knows what the temps were. Some fish were caught in the morning out there based on radio chatter.

When you refer to "the Wreck" which one is it on the topo/POI map? The only marked as "the wreck" is up into michigan a ways. the two near the gong I assume is one of them but just curious if it is one of those two or is there another one you are referring too.

I was referring to the marked wreck N/W of the Gong in IL waters, pretty sure its the David Dows.

Thank you. I am not sure if I have one or both of them already added to the fish finder but if the weather is ok tomorrow night I may go out and mark them if I do not. Appreciate the info as always.
