Interesting chart, but highly unrealistic in real life. Can you imagine running 200 feet of 10# monofilament with any size Tadpole (or any diver).

Most mono stretches about 20% before it breaks and with 200 feet out it would be like fishing with a rubber band.

Ever wonder why bass guys "cross the eyes" on a hook set? That all got started back in the day when mono was the only option. I saw an article where a guy tested "hookset" power. I don't remember all the details but he stretched out a "reasonable" strength of line - say 17# - a reasonable distance - perhaps 100 feet - and barely hooked a sharp hook in the skin of an orange. Then he went back to his rod and reel and tried to set the hook. Couldn't do it. All he'd do was make the orange roll over and the hook pull out.

Yeah, I don’t use mono. On the first 2 charts it says 10# mono or 40# braid. I use 30# braid myself so I probably run a tad deeper than the curve. When I'm coho fishing I run these in top 10 ft of water column so I'm only out like 40 ft. When i used them for walleye i wanted them down 20 or more so i had over 100ft of braid out and caught fish. I have not run the #3 or magnum yet. Debating if i should buy them or use weighted steel for longlining
