Safe fishing for all who head out onto the lake chasing the perch bite. Limits are being taken with a bit of patience.  The 95th street launch has been empty the last couple weeks. The 85th street slip has been pretty busy everyday with shore fisherman. 89th slip has been slow from my observations. Today was a quick limit of good size perch and an 11lbs burbot!  Portage marina was empty

I assume you're offshore a mile or two. Were there other boats in the area? I'm not sure I'd want to be the lone wolf. Nice work out there. Is a burbot a challenging retrieve on light tackle? TIA.

I’d say a burbot fights a little like a laker. Heavy pulling and stays at the bottom. No big runs or anything like a salmon. Slow and easy on my ultralight rig!
