Thanks for posting Ed! I highly recommend going and seeing this operation in person. It's pretty amazing technology.  And seeing it done has helped a lot of people understand just how many quality control checks there are, and why the AD clip/CWT data are the best possible data we have in terms of managing the fishery

Just one small correction, the steelhead are the ones getting coded wire tags - kings are just getting an adipose clip
 

I watched one in action in Oregon a few years ago. It took about 30 seconds to erase any doubts on the accuracy of fish marking process.

It would be really interesting to see it on Lake Michigan Walleyes.  Typically when you get one, they are huge, but once they spawn and where they spawn are a mystery.  I know they are there, but where they go in the spring and summer would be interesting to see. I got one last spring off of Cook Plant that was the 2nd largest master angler walleye in Michigan.  

That would be extremely interesting!
