Hello AllWe arrived at Sammie L Malleta ramp at 6:45 on Saturday to find several others had the same plan we did. Probably 20 rigs inline/ getting ready or already parked. Launched and headed to Gary Light to start our troll. First time fishing with Storm Thin Finns. Always fished with Brads Thin Fish. So Port side went Storm and Starboard went Brads. Leads any where from 24' to 11' caught fish. First pass by the wall and had a triple! Game on! Continued to the channel and had a double. I would say the Storm's outfitted the Brads today. Which made my wife happy because she purchased the Storm's. Ended the day 21/30 coho and 2 steely's. On our return to the ramp around 1oclock we notice the CO's where on the docks. We continued to pull up and they where checking boats for license and fish counts. Nothing to hide he boarded and inspected the live well. All good here he says. So I asked him if they had issued any tickets today. Unfortunately they already had 5 boats with over the limit. One boat had 8 over. I'm just a regular fisherman but I try to play the game with honesty and be courteous. This is a great fishery and I would like it to continue producing for many generations to come. I'm sure there were many fish caught that day. As we left the ramp the entire lot and the gravel lot was full. Best of fishing,Mark

It's not worth the fine for a few fish. You guys need to  let a few slip buy so they swim their way to Michigan  waters. Sounds like a great day on the water!
calm water and tight lines to all.

I like brown trout better than steelhead. I've never eaten on over 10 pounds but man anything from brown trout stocked in the rivers for opening day of Indiana Trout season to Browns caught in lake Michigan have my vote! Congratulations again!
