Set out of Pastrick's,  went past the gong and proceeded to the line, running a north troll.  Set various spoons and FF out without any success. Turned back southwest and went over shoals looking for lakers, switching out cowbells on the riggers and slowing it down.  Still nothing,  just ended up washing lures for 6 hours or so.  In at about 9ish out at 4:30.  Wasn't expecting much with the blow but was hoping for something.  I was marking bait here and there and some sporadic fish but i guess it wasn't meant to be.
Still nice to be out.
I imagine i should head a few hours north into Michigan if i want to get some action.

Thanks for the report still, it was not an easy day fishing, but at least it turned into a nice day.

Looking at Salmonarama standings and locations looks like Wisconsin is the place to be?
Thanks for your report.

You were not the only one.  I spent the day with the same results as you, except I had 4 guests on the boat.  Started at 6 am at the port with hopes for some steelhead.  After an hour or so with nothing, went to the state line and spent several hours trolling east, west, north and south with nothing; altho, did get a hit on a downrigger with a slider that broke a 20# test line, but never saw what it was.

I'll take a look at that......I guess i should have said any place but here, lol.
I'm still pretty new to this ...... haven't fished for salmon this late in the summer so i really don't have a plan yet.
I have seen some nice pics from Michigan too and being in NW Indiana , It's easier to travel that way for me, that's why I mentioned Michigan.
