Headed out a little after 6am and headed for the 3 corners with a friend who is an avid wakeboarder, but not fisherman.  Leftover rollers from the north blow made it a slow run out, but we had our full set in by 7am.Was definitely a slow bite, but ended 2/4, all silver.  Pulled lines at 11.

First coho hit right away, watermelon silver streak, unfortunately the fish bent the spoon. Free slider off a rigger set at 40.  Was my buddies first salmon, close to 6 pounds.

2nd hit a clown dodger with purple krinkle fly on a purple dipsy out 120.  Looked like a steelhead when it jumped and spit the fly out out.

3rd hit a flat silver dodger, green Howie fly, downrigger at 55.  Big fish, nearly spooled a Penn 320gti.  Got it boatside, and lost it before my buddy could get it in the net.  Sickening after seeing how big it was.

2nd coho in the boat, monkey puke spoon on green dipsy out 110 while clearing lines.

Sounded very slow on the radio, was happy to at least end the day 2/4 all things considered.

We were in 12-14’s in that area west of you. Tried in close for steelhead for a couple of hours with 1 goo to show for it. Headed offshore to see if we could salvage anything and went 0-2 on a laker on the 250 copper and what was probably a coho on the wire dipsey 190 back. Water was very clear and cold with bait again.

No, Sunday morning. I was in the green/white Sea Ray Weekender, we had a nice center console follow us out of Marina Shores and the ditch, we ran out heading NNW and I watched that boat stay close initially, I assumed for skamania. About two hours later the same boat pushed out and was trolling just to my west.

Yep, that would have been us.  We thought we would try an little farther west than we usually go but not much to show for it.

That is right where we have had the most consistent luck all season. We never kill it, but it seems to be where we can always raise something when it's slow.

BTW, nice boat.
