So was it an Indiana DNR officer or from IL or Michigan?  Not much 75 / 80 Feet of water in Indiana.

I was finally able to get the coast guard aux to inspect my boat at the house a couple weeks ago (first time since 2019).   Happy to have my window sticker.  I do it just to make sure no laws changed that I am not aware of and knowing I am all legal if they do decide to board me.   Also no fines for what they find wrong this way.    The one who has done mine both times is a helicopter pilot and we end up spending about twice as long just B.S.ing than he spends inspecting the boat.    I can't say I have had a bad experience with the Indiana DNR or the CG in the last 10 years.   I can't say the same for the Minnesota DNR...
