Windy, wavey and tough day fishing out of the 16 foot Smokercraft. But even with that we finally snagged into that angry spring king. Landed a nice 14 pounder on a 9 color with a glow frog supper slim. Other than that had no other hits all morning. Fished mainly 40-60 feet of water and came in closer by the pier head towards the end looking for a skam to no avail.

No offshore fishing for us, so time to sit and wait for the perch to start showing up.

Nice job on the king.  Is that a Dreamweaver SS glow frog?  Hear good things from up north about that one and it’s on the wish list.

didn’t read good enough… confirmed

Nice fish! Thanks for reporting. On the right day you could make it offshore.

It was the glow frog with the white back as well, they have a silver and white back version. Last year we caught a couple kings on the mag glow frog with a silver back. So from our small sample size it's been a pretty solid spoon for us.
