Got to the lake and yet again it was not as forecasted. With the waves and wind already rockin' from the NNE, we rolled out East to the state line to get at least one good pass to box a fish. 0 fish until we passed the breakwall where 2 things happened, 1. the wind died quite a bit and 2. we started catching fish. There was no real pattern just a hodgepodge of all the favorites. Orange baby spin doctor with green/blue fly caught 3 or 4, flat lines were hitting green, orange with black dots, firetiger all took fish. Nothing really outproduced, we caught in 30-40 fow running 2.1-3.1 sog in the waves. All in all was a really good day.
 

Some are inept, some work for the government, most make predictions for inland locations and things are different on the lake for a variety of reasons. I usually look at several sources and find some better than others.  My best resource (for wind) is fishweather.com.  The worst is when they all get together over the weekend and conspire against us guys who can go fishing on weekdays.

I also experience the lake rolling yesterday and too,out of portage. Why weather man are wrong sometimes, because God is in control. Glad you caught fish. Be safe out there.

I have the fish weather and marine weather apps on my phone. I find them both to be more accurate and more details than just the regular iPhone weather or some other general forecasts.
