My brother and I went out of Portage this morning. We hit the lake at around 6am and ran north towards the state line and shut it down when we hit 65 fow. We had a release on the downrigger before we could get the second line in the water and put a very nice 7 lb Coho in the box. We continued to do a north-south troll and had our 10 by 10:30 with several missed. Flashers and flies were the ticket today and mostly on the riggers at 55’. We did catch four on a dipsey set on #3 and 100’ back with a flasher and Spin-N-Glo. I think we ended up 12 for 18 or 19. All nice Cohos. It was really nice out there even with my little 17 footer and no other boats around. It seemed like most boats were fishing farther West. A great day to finish up the weekend.

Great job! I thought yesterday would of been rough offshore, it was blowing pretty good but I guess not out there. Thanks for the report.

Thanks, had a very light chop going out. The wind picked up a little bit mid morning then it seemed to lay down again. We ran back in around 11-11:30 and it wasn’t a bad ride. The wind did pick up in the afternoon though but we were already in.
