Headed out at 5:30am out of portage. Planned on staying in close because of the chop on the lake. Running solo I set my 3 lines out of the ditch and headed west. Had a big hit on my F/F on a dipsy, ended up being the biggest drum I’ve ever caught. It actually broke my rod as well. Went about another hour with only another drum hitting an agent Orange spoon on a dipsy. Changed up my plans and perch fished a couple hours in 18’ west of the ditch mouth. Ended up with my limit of some surprisingly good quality fish. I wasn’t really making much but when I would drift I’d hook into 3 or 4. Relaxing morning on the water.
