Set out of Pastrick's around 10. I seen Brother Nature at the docks and wanted to introduce myself but he was busy- I'm sure he will elaborate in a future post.
I headed east to Gary Light had 8 pullbacks only landed 3.  I was running 2 firetiger thinfins, 2 red with black squiggles thinfins, 2 dodger/ fly- green/carmel and blue carmel
and had 2 dipsys with blue and green spoons down. Everything with exception of the dipsys had fish hit,  the 3 that were landed were on each dodger fly and red/black  thinfin.
I also lost a board, had a breakoff 25 ahead of board, don't know what happened there,  and assumed board was gone.  2 hours later was trolling back around and ended up finding it, so at least that was lucky.
Packed up headed to the wall at Pastrick's,  trolled up wall with nothing,  seen a small pack working the shoals out front.  Had a dipsy fire and the excitement soon fizzled as a very healthy sheepshead made it over the side.  And that's how the day ended, packed up around 4:30 and called it a day.  Similar reports from guys at the lauch. One guy boated 1 another 5.

I have a question- are the fish already moving out of this area? They never really stacked up. I see further east posts like Portage and east of there doing well already, is launching out of Pastrick's for coho over?

I figured that was you with the Angler Qwest. Nice looking set up!  I was busy - luckily it was a "family" day with my son-in-law and friends so I didn't have any POed customers.  We did catch a few lakers before an electrical issue shut us down and we had to get towed in.  TowBoatUS to the rescue!  With the right testers, tools and a couple of parts, the fix was pretty simple.  The Bro is ready to go again.

To answer your question, I'd say the nearshore bite in Lake County is probably over for this year. The north blow the next couple days might push some fish in - I hope it does - but the season is getting late to expect miracles.

I'd have come over to chat with you, but as you said, I was having some issues.  Next time!

It might be. It’s been an odd year so far. Hard to say what will happen due to the weather the next couple days. Best bet seems to be east of portage right now anyway......

Thanks BN for compliment. Glad it was nothing too serious and you got back safely,  if I was out there already I'd have no problem helping you in. Of course that's what Tow boat is for ,  it's a bargain compared to not having it.
Nice to see the Lakers on the shoals, I like going for them too just wish i had more time and better luck for the coho like in 2019. Looks like it's time to break out all my dipsy and rigger setups and start hunting EC big fish.
Hope i see you at EC under better circumstances next time BN , would love to have a nice chat with you. Tight lines, and take care
