TOPIC:

Took the Girlfriend out and she can check Kings off her list of Great Lakes species. We ended up catching 3 springers and she saw the raw power they have. The first one came off the Downrigger 29 ft down in 45 fow on a Michigan Stinger Stingray Arctic Ice spoon and he made a few runs which had sore arms and high fives/hugs. The second one came on the same spoon and same depth as ended up being a cookie cutter to the first one. We caught a Laker on a 75 copper with a Blue freakin veggie Stingray and kept it for the smoker and let another go after it bit a Stingray mixed Veggie gold blank (all spoons were UV) the last king came on a 75 copper with the Mixed Veggie spoon. By then the rain was steady and it was getting chilly so we called it a day. Thank god for the Cush It rod tamer or she would be sore still. She is totally hooked on Big Lake trolling and is my King Slayer.
