What did you catch the steelhead on? Did you target them or did they just come on the lures you put out for coho?

What did you catch the steelhead on? Did you target them or did they just come on the lures you put out for coho?

We were basically just flatling  and using 1 color leads for Coho. The Steelhead came on a custom swimbait we painted the day before, a custom bay rat and orange J-11 Rapalas.
I'll post pictures of the swimbait and bay rat.

Nice. Yeah, I was curious. I wondered if you maybe caught them on spoons instead of crankbaits. For some reason, I get a million coho every spring but hardly ever get a steelhead. I use a lot of crankbaits targeting coho, but plan on incorporating more small spoons to see if I can “diversify” my catch and get other species too.

Spoons have worked on an off for us this month but this day the body baits were working.  We were just lucky to find some Steelhead scattered in with the Coho. Nice to see a little line go off the reels and fish come out of the water.
