I can not believe it was possible to do this and I wouldn’t have taken a bet at 50:1 odds, but we trolled  for 3hrs this morning from the ditch to the donut and never caught a fish. All the usual suspects were washed from 1.9-3.0. Had a couple of boards pop, but never boated a fish. Seagulls were having a field day in the Ditch in shad on the way out and way in. Everything on the boat performed flawlessly, which is all you can really ask for on a shakedown. But damn, not a single fish?!?! WTF??

From what I hear Southshore, the fishing so far is just really odd this year. One day amazing, the next is trash.   I do think consistency will set in soon.  Either way I wish my boat was in the water so I could fish.  I am jealous.  Thanks for the update :)
Boatless!

We made it out yesterday 3-22 from 8 am to noon. Wanted to get the Grandkids out while on Spring Break. They picked up 4 coho at the mouth of the Ditch, all in the 38-40 FOW. Best color was the Red/Black Brads took 3 & Gold took 1. SOG was 2 to 2.3. Couldn’t believe the Portage ramp for a Monday! Looks like it might be a little while before getting back out with the forecast coming. Rudey

I went out the last few days.
Saturday was a solo trip and I went 5 for 5 on cohos. All on orange body baits behind the boards. I was pulling a lot of King baits that didn't get a bump.
Sunday we went 4  for 4. 2 ho's a nd 2 lakers on a double just outside the ditch. One laker was 25lbs.
Monday we went 3 for 3. 2 ho's and a 27lb laker just outside the ditch.
I trolled from west of the ditch to east of the Port.
Slow fishing for sure.
