TOPIC:

Left the dock at 4:15 headed NE to just past state line . Fish were pretty steady all morning . Ended with a mixed bag of kings,Steelies,coho (which seemed small) & of course trout .
End of the morning we had all of our fish & was pulling line when a down rigger popped . Fought this fish for what seemed like for ever & just couldn’t seem to make any ground with it. Finally get the fish to the boat to find out we had 2 large trout on main line & slider !!

All sounds like great day but there was some bad as well . Early in the morning rigger pops I crank down on it & get ready to hand it off & let go of the rod before the other person had it... good by rod real & fish ..
little bit later 300 copper takes off, few seconds of screaming drag & it breaks off loosing everything. Wanted to turn back to get my board but couldn’t do to boats on both sides of me.
After making our turn to head back south 2 hrs after breaking that copper off we hook up again this time it’s our copper we lost with a 24.4 king still on it !! So I got my copper & spoon back just no board .
