Headed out later than I wanted to but e Lake didn’t disappoint. The almost glass like surface made the 8 mile ride north very enjoyable. Being a solo trip I set my 2 riggers at 35’ and 50’ with sliders and ran one dipsy diver. Fished straight north of the ditch in 75’ of water surface temp was 66 degrees and trolled around 2.8 mph. Fished all spoons and one DF. Spoons did all the damage with bloody nose taking the win today. Went 4 for 7 with two misses by me and one small king that came unbuttoned behind the boat. 2 big coho that were stuffed with alewives, a decent coho, and the screamer king of the day. King hit the bloody nose spoon 50’ down and as soon as I got to the rod it proceeded to rip 500’ of line in what seems like a couple minutes. I got my boat turned back towards him and started to take back some line. It is such a treat to watch these big fish fight and zip along the surface. I netted him and he came in at 21.2lbs and 37”. My personal biggest king this year! I love my family and the opportunity to get out and fish our amazing lake. Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there!
