Fished Sunday with the wife after Saturday repairs and had a beautiful day on the water. Lost more than we caught but still managed 4 nice coho and a 12# laker released to fight another day. Missed a big king on 6 color with a 8” orange dodger/ rapture asteroid fly which seems to be my go to for kings the last couple years. No real pattern as far as colors, leadcore dipsies and riggers all hit. Finished the day 5 for 12. Fished 55FOW out front of the donut.
Today was out with my brother, went straight out from port and marked a lot of bait in 55FOW, fished the area without a sniff. Went back toward the donut and started picking at them. Missed a few big boys but managed a 17# king and 4 coho in short order. Again all lines hit but brighter colors seemed to be the ticket. Finished the day 5 for 8. Another great day out and got to meet A fellow southender at the dock (Russ-On the Grady)
