Managed to catch the end of the SW wind, the calm mid-day, and then the build of the NE blow on Thursday. Trolled from Portage over towards the East following the mud line and marking fish/bait all over between 35 -50 feet. No attention. Got a text from a buddy out by the Gary light with a decent King, so we trolled our way out there. Same story, bait/fish all over the place between 35-50 feet. Focused on 30-40 fow and covered the water column. A small laker (released at the back of the boat) on a Dipsey/spoon and 4/6 on Coho before the NW wind made us tuck tail and head for home. Coho were on a Red ThinFin or Hunter Boys custom J-7 both on flat lines with a 3 oz sinker clipped on and one on a spindoctor/fly combo right off the bottom. The Coho were fat with Alewife and each puked at least one up upon landing.

I'm sure this north blow is going to screw everything up even more. Can't wait to get back out!
