Hello, finally looks like I'm able to get out this weekend for the shakedown trip. Does anybody know if there is still cohos hanging around Pastrick ( where I'm launching) or Gary light, or even Cal park. The wife is going out on the big pond for the very first time and would like to get her on some fish. I appreciate any and all replies, thanks

Everyone I have talked to over the last week running high lines targeting cohos has had pretty good success. Seems just about anywhere on the Southend right now. I would think you should be able to go out and find some.

Thanks for the info, I just remember last year at Pastrick they were there one week then gone the next and I think it was right about this time, hoping they stick around, If everything goes right and I get out I'll post a report

Was out of Pastrick for a couple hours this afternoon and it was still a little rough out that but didn't get one hit. Had everything from Thin Fish, Coho Crusher, spoons and flies out there. I was marking fish but nothing was hitting. I am going out again tomorrow but going to look deeper if the lake lays down more over night. I have a buddy going to fish the inland wall so we will see but it sounds like Portage and MC are hotter right now (but who knows after the blow this week).

Thank you so much, this was my fear and the big blow didn't help. Like last year, after last week of April it really tapered off. The fact you were marking fish was promising though. Maybe they were tight lipped after all that wind. I will anxiously await your next report, hopefully your buddy does well off the wall and good luck to you for Saturday. I will still launch at Pastrick Sunday but if you don't pick up much tomorrow, I may head to Cal park area after Inland wall if I don't hear of anything coming from Gary light. Thanks again
