My six year got two fight a 19 lb king and a 5 lb laker for the first time he can’t wait to get out again lol oh and the laker had a small salmon in its stomach (like 8-9”)

That’s great congrats! When my son was little I made a rod holder that plugged into the rear casting platform seat base. Allowed him to reel and not have to hold the rod and reel. We caught quite a few fish that way and now at 11 he’s all in whenever I go.
