Fished the area around Gary light this morning. Tons of bait has moved into the area. The mouth of the port also had ales jumping all through our wake.(fished the mouth and around for maybe half hour with no bites) Started out with 4 of our six rods directed towards kings. Ended up being trout magnets. Hit 3 good sized Lakers. C&R. Including one on a mag fub wobbler. Shifted our setup to all cranks on boards and hammered out our ten coho. Once you got on some fish it was pretty good action. The fog sure made things interesting a few times.. good luck to all out there.

Thanks for the report. For all of you more experienced: what does a spring king setup look like bait-wise and depth-wise?

flasher flies, j plugs, magnum spoons. Usually you are fishing shallow water in spring and with the water being cold throughout the water column you need to search all depths to find what is working best, which with a 6-9 rod spread you can cover 50 FOW pretty easily.

Flasher + meat are pretty good too in the spring.
