Late report.. headed east out of Portage Thursday afternoon with my wife and father in law. Started out a ways north of the entrance to the port. The waves were a tad larger than i had hoped so setting the lines would be easier to just roll with the wind. Got 9 rods in with nothing going, and nothing going. Finally hit a fish on a slider at the number 4. Then kept rolling past the mouth, in the mud, out of the mud, for about a mile west of the mouth with nothing more to show. Picked up lines and headed to Gary for the last 2 hours of light. Made a full lap with only one more fish on the same slider spoon. Started working the water out deeper and there were more hungry fish out there. Nothing crazy but landed 5 more fish to bring us up to 7 for the evening. Most of those fish came on cranks. All in all a good night on the water.
