TOPIC:

Launched at around 3 and fished all around the ditch and Gary Light til sundown. I'm just an echo to everyone else's reports in that it was spotty to say the least. 3/4 on Brad's, flicker shad, and a goldback spoon. No size by any means. The only positive reports I heard about were from Gary Light.

Can anyone confirm that Cal Park launch is closed? Our best day by far was inside the shipping canal earlier in March and I'd like to get back there without a $30 sting from Whiting or 95th St.

I don't know about 95th St. I've heard it's closed, no pay to Memorial Day other miscellaneious reports. The things I'd worry about are 1) It's Chicago and while one cop might let it slide, the next might write you up, the next may call a tow truck and the next one shake you down. 2) That's not counting what the gang-bangers on the East Side might do. After all, it is the home of Bad, Bad Leroy Brown.....

Cal park is closed

I saw someone post yesterday that Hammond is opening back up on Tuesday 4/7 but I will believe it when I see it. I was fishing the Canal yesterday 4 to about 6 and only had 4 hits with 2 in the box.

Still have real warm water? I think some of the plants have shut down. Wasnt sure how that would affect the temps out of the canal or gary for that matter

I suck near the end of the wall. All my bites came in near the mouth and with limited time, I didnt want to troll the entire canal.

The governor just ordered a two week extension to stay in place so I think the launches will be closed at least til the 21st. But that's right now, by then i really think they will have everything shut down til at least June.( that's just a gut feeling)

I hope not Ed! My marina is closed wont launch boats or do anything.
