Got 9 rods in at Mich City this am at break of dawn. Had one hit on a rigger in 2.5 hours. Coulda been a drum...who knows. The run, we know, for most part is over, but nice day and willing bodies, wth...
However, think we fished the wrong program. Some of the shore (night time guys) did well. They said fish were moving thru at night but soon as sun started to peak her nose up, they disappeared. Interesting!!
Oh, and btw...as we were setting rods, had a drone hovering bout 30 yds over our head. Was it someone messing with us, or possibly the Russians trying to spy on our set up???...anyone have a clue?? Could not see anyone operating it. Maybe the dnr has a new toy huh?

I also heard shore guys railed them in the dark. And there's a lot in the creek. The creek/harbor is now colder than the lake, so that sucks the fish out of the lake into the harbor

I think a lot of times they just aren’t in the mood to chase and hit lures. I’ve had action so hot you couldn’t keep two bobbers in the water with shrimp and seen boats trolling past with 3 guys drooling on themselves bored and not getting bit. Or myself gotten bored catching them on shrimp and try casting without a bite.
