Had a free evening and the wind was right, so what else does a guy do but grab a buddy and head for the lake!

My brother was out in the morning and went 2/5 on coho and ended up along the breakwall by the donut catching Lakers.

We got out of Portage a little later than anticipated, so set up there for the troll. Only a couple boats out there, was pleased to run into CaptMike and chat a bit over the radio. I was testing out my new mount for the planar board mast and discovered that it needs to go further forward when the line caught on a rod and pulled it overboard. Fortunately, there was a floating plug on it so when we trolled back, we spotted the lure and were able to recover the rod and reel.

Ended up 2/4 with two little half-drowned Coho that didn't even register as hits.

Regardless, a nice evening on the water. Beats working!

I hope you bought a Powerball lottery chance after that. Lady luck was sitting in your back pocket. Getting a rod back is mostly improbable.
