Nice day for fishing but the fish were being hard to catch. Marked a lot on the graph even some bait. Fished from about 9:30 till around 5pm. Started out by the beaches and trolled towards Gary light. Stayed in the area for a couple of hours with only two fish. Trolled all the way back to the ditch and joined the small crowd there where we limited out with 3 hands.
We went totally 15 for 22 bites we figured. About half the bites were on flies and 6 inch dodgers and 6 inch spin doctors. The rest came on thinfins and thinfish, red/black and orange coho crushers. The crank baits were on boards and flat lined. The flies were green and gold tinsel and the dodgers and flashers were red. Riggers were set back 15 to 18 ft back and down 11 and 13 ft. Fished in water from 12 to 24 ft deep in front of the ditch.
I hope it gets easier before the tournament. Thanks to the crew Kelliann Bob and One More Time Mike for another good trip.

good job putting in your work. I usually don't try D/F right off, I may have to rethink that. I'm trying to get things set for a shake down and getting psyched reading the reports... hopefully Saturday

Thanks for coming up Don. It was a good time and felt great being on the water. It was a tough day for sure, but in the end we got it done!
Can't wait for the tournament in a few weeks!

Glad you found them Don. We started at Gary Light. Fished there for three hrs without a hit. Decided to run to the donut. No luck. Saw a ton of guys fishing on the rocks at the end of the ditch, but didn’t see anyone catching anything.
Never saw that many people fishiing so close together.

You know it’s pretty tough when the experienced fishermen are having a bad time of it. Maybe when water temperature comes up a bit the fishing will improve.

Good work don. Glad you had a good trip coming up here when fishing has been tough.
