First time fishing the waters thanks Angry Pirate, Bloodrun, and Brad from FinFire for pointing me in the right direction of where to launch. Was just my girlfriend and I and we headed out late ( she's not a morning person) so I wasn't expecting much since we weren't going to set lines till almost 1030AM. Set up in 120 FOW had a king on 200' copper with green/silver spoon before I could get second rod out. Then we spent the next 5 hours picking the next 4 up all on meat rigs or that same spoon. Then around 3:30 PM I switched a diver that wasn't getting touched to ITO Flies wonder-bread meat rig and it was on fire we caught the rest of our fish in 40 min all on that set up. Most fish came around 140-150 FOW lots of bait lots of markings. Diver started around 90-112 back early and ended day running 112-140.

Great job glad it worked out. It’s good to see southenders travel up the coast to take advantage of the fishery as fish migrate in the spring. If you have the means to trailer then by all means do so, don’t just stay in one port. Grand Haven and Muskegon are now red hot for memorial weekend. FWIW there are 2 bands of silver fish between city and new buffalo. 140 and 200. Coho and some steel. More coho should be back in a week or two after the bait is done spawning and comes back out of the harbor. Have a great weekend everyone!

Strait west out of the port. Most fish were caught on East/ West trolls. I think 2 came on a South and Nothing on a North.
