Had a good day on the water today. We started trolling right out of the ditch but didn’t really have any action until we got closer to Gary light. Once again thinfins did most of the work. We trolled at about 3mph. We did get a bonus Brown.
Heads up. We got checked by a DNR officer at the dock. He was very courteous but very thorough. He checked everyone’s licenses, counted all our fish, and even measured some. We were in compliance so no worries for us.

Nice job guys. Pleasure meeting you guys at the fish cleaning station. You were spot on about the warden. He seemed okay to me also, but was really looking hard to find an issue. Even went through my boat looking for this and that. First time i have been checked up there by the state like that.

Thanks for the report. Did you happen to weight the Brown?

I wasn’t up there but I think they weighed it at 6.5 lbs or so.

Nice job! I dont think I have ever been checked over like that........much less checked at all. I am glad to know they are looking for offenders though.
