Is there any natural reproduction of kings or coho in Indiana streams?

Highly unlikely - water is too warm and muddy.

There is some, but it is a very small amount compared to the stocking that happens. As Jeff said, the bulk of the streams have either temp issues, or silt issues.

However, there ARE some upper reaches of Indiana tributaries that do support natural reproduction. Upper parts of Trail Creek and a few of it's small tributaries, upper parts of the EB Little Cal and its tributaries, and some tribs of Salt Creek, and a handful of others. But these are pretty small areas that have suitable habitat. Say, compared to an entire river like the Little Manistee or the Pere Marquette in Michigan

But we're really talking about 5% or less, in terms of mature fish returning to Indiana streams. 95% or more are stocked fish

I remember somebody giving a presentation about this in the late 90's at an SU Il meeting. I was pretty impressed back then,
