We went out if Michigan City two days ago. Went out to 123' of water and started trolling in at 2.5 mph with orange spoons on leadcore set up and sea mist colored flies on my downrigger and went 5 for 9. Caught 3 coho and two lakers. Fish were in 106'-80' of water down 45'-70' for the most part. Finding the scattered fish was the hard part but almost every time I trolled over a decent school I would hook one or catch one. I am new to this so I have alot to learn but for the first time out I thought I did great!

Nice work. I'm planning to head over from NE Indiana tomorrow (Sunday, 7/9). Still trying to decide where to go as this will be my first time this year in my boat. I've been out a few times on my friend's boat, going out of Portage, New Buffalo and St. Joseph. We've done OK, but haven't really got into any decent numbers. I'm hoping I can find a few fish tomorrow.
