If you wonder why the alewife in the fish's mouth is blurry it's because it's still alive. I was taking the photo when I noticed it was still ticking! So I pulled it out and released it - after all, alewives are endangered! I've caught dozens and dozens of cohos with alewives sticking out of their mouths, never had a live one - until yesterday.
