Showed up to portage this morning with a nice brisk north west wind. After finding only me, steve and jeff were there for the tournament. We decided to give it a shot. After getting to the mouth we ran out into 3s and 4s with the occasional 5 footer. Since I could not really go any where we decided to stay close and fish near shore. We went 1 for 2 for our efforts. We did also catch a big Sheephead.

bummer on the poor turnout, but at least fish were caught. Also, that video you posted on FB was impressive. The console on my boat would of ripped off the boat if I tried that speed lol

I passed you guys on the ditch this morning with my daughter, definitely heeded your advice. Was a nice day for a cruise in the ditch though.

That was me I believe. I saw you headed out and thought oh man dont even give it a try. I saw the trolling rods and started yelling haha. We really thought it would be better today than yesterday (which was rough but fishable) and it was worse. I got 100' out of the mouth and my crew started spewing expletives - I turned right around.

We did troll the ditch for a half hour or so with a pair of J13's and hooked up with a steelie but lost him. We went to breakfast and played a round of golf. The wind shit on that too lol.

Anyone ready for some stable weather?

Yea, I'm ready too. My console on my boat broke 2 rivets last week after getting stuck out in that storm.... Worst console design/ customer service ever.... but that's a different discussion for a different thread.. All I have to say is I should of went with a glass boat

They both have there ups and downs. But I think the pros beat out the negatives.
