TOPIC:

Lunched the boat around 6 tonight out of are home port, portage. Set up at the mouth and made a few passes with nothing. Trolled over the the number 4 and had a drive by on a rigger rod on the way. Made a few passes on the point with nothing. Heard some radio chatter of a few fish at the mouth so we shot back over there. Hooked are first steelie of the night on a rigger rod down 6' set with a flounder pounder right in front of the mouth. Had the other rigger fire right after we boxed the first fish with another steelie that came off after the first jump. Flipped around and hit another steelie on a red thin fin set back about 100' on a planner board. Ended the night 2 for 4 on steel and 3 for 5 if ya count the jumbo 12" perch that eat a magnum spoon set down on a dipsey! Lol Marked a lot of what I say had to be perch after seeing that one come in on the dipsey rod out in 20 to 30 fow. All steelie bites came in 20 to 25 fow. Best speed was 2.5 on the gps. Been over a mounth sense I've made it out on the big pond. It was a nice night to be on the lake and nice to get into a few fish. Hoping this forecast gets better for the tournament this weekend. We'll see ya on the water boys!
