It was the other 18 that counted!! Fished aboard friend's boat "Anchor Management" Sunday. 27' SeaRay Amberjack (oldstyle) along with Pikesmith plus 2. First fishing shakedown cruise. Waited for storms to clear and left harbor approx 11AM. 300* course to 90FOW. Marked lots of fish at this depth. Set lines and trolled out on 275*. First coho on 50cu/spoon within 15 min. Next came a triple - 15# king on a rigger 35 down/ spoon; coho on 00 dodger/green peanut fly; coho on a 100 cu / spoon. 110fow. Continued to pick at the coho, best depth was 125-135. Trolled out to 150fow and made turn to come back same line. Hit the school again in approx 130fow. 2 doubles. Picked up 7 more. All on the high lines - 50 & 100 copper off boards and OO dodger/fly set 25 down. Best spoon was std size, dark green/ orange ladder/ copper back. Std orange coho spoons worked well. Best set-up was 100 copper. Did not run any mags. Fished primarily in 42-12/13's. Pulled lines at 6PM. Final count was 16 coho, 2 kings (1 throwback), 1 laker- 5#. We were 19/19. Hard to believe!! Weather was almost picture perfect with cloud cover, lite winds out of the west, 1-2 ft waves. Water temp was 54* Speed at the ball was 2.8 - 3.0. Two coho over 5#. Several 3#+. Some were full of alewives, others had empty stomachs. The throwback king was NOT finn-clipped! Natural reproduction?? One short of a 4-man limit. Fish are out there if you look for them.

Sounds like a great trip. Not sure I have ever batted one thousand! I hear its real good up there this morning too.

Really great trip! Nothing beats action like that. Nice work. Sounds like they are finally coming in closer. Just talked to a friend that said the same thing about today. Thanks for the report, i like all the st joe reports i can get.
