Well it's been years but was skunked Sunday morning. 0-3 with a huge laker snapping the line on a monkey puke 90' down. The other 2 were driveby's on a carmel and blue dolphin down 35 and 45 on the rigger. We thru everything we had at them for 6 hours. Started at the tri-state line and trolled NE then SE. Seemed slow for the silvers from the radio chatter. Got off the lake just as the big blow came in around noon.

Thanks for the report. I dont know if its more painful to get skunked and see no action or get skunked and lose a beast like that.

How were the winds in the morning out there?

We got out just after the storms around 5am. Heavy fog for the first hour or so half way out (made for a nerve wrecking run). The winds shifted around 7 and within minutes you could see Chicago bright as day. 2' chop most of the morning then picked heavy up as soon as we got back to the ditch. Saw a group of about 6 boats about 5 miles north of the tri-state. Minimal radio chatter, mostly people throwing back lakers around the gong.

We did a similar program .....left Marina Shores @ 5:45 AM and went right to the state line....we went 4 for 6 ....2 Lakers (released) and 2 coho.
Lakers came on a Brad's (Hey Baby) Cut Plug and the Cohos hit a spin- n-glow (green/pink) & tin can dodger.

Thank you for the reports guys. Sounds like it can only get better from here.
