Got out for a few hours Saturday morning with the wife. I was pretty much fishing with the other guys NW of the Gong. I was not really right in the mix with them and found a nice path that the Lakers were hitting really good. I ended up keeping 3, lost one really nice Brown at the net and pretty sure we lost a silver since it hit on the thin fish with a 5/8 Keel on the planer. Never saw the fish just fought him for a few minutes and he was gone. Over all went 3 for 7 in about 2 hours of lines in the water. Most of the Lakers were caught or hit in about a 30 minute span. Most of the hits were in 65ish feet of water on Dipsys down around 45 to 50 ft. Orange Crush on protroll was the hottest and the Mixed Veggie on a spin Dr was 2nd hottest. Sounds like everyone was doing pretty good on the Lakers. Bad news of the day - I left my fillet knife in a cart at the marina; at least I got it free and a good excuse to get some new ones.

Also Met Brother Nature at the cleaning station. Always nice to meet one of the southenders.

Had someone with a scale (non-digital) at the marina offer to weigh the two larger ones and it was 10+ and 9+ lbs. The wife was shocked at the size of the fish she was catching.

No Jeff but has been the biggest fish she reeled in and netted so far. She has been on the boat when we got some close to that size but I don't think any quite that big. Most of my bigger fish are when she is not on the boat since she does not like to spend all day on a boat with no bathroom
