Wow! The strong winds flipped the water over. I thought it odd that the water just outside the hammond marina was only 50 degrees when it had been towards the middle 50s. When I shut down at my usual starting point on the shoals I noticed the water was crystal clear. You could see the flash of the dodger 25 feet down. The water temperature was only 42!

Would the flip blast all the shoals lakers? Nope. Plenty of them still there. No silver fish like last week, though. Even when I switched to all coho baits no takers. Great day on the lake though with only one footers to contend with.

That's what southerly gales will do. Push out all the warm dirty water and cycle back in the clean deeper water. That will all change tomorrow again. Lol.
