We had a mag moonshine spoon hunting for a potential king or laker......on a rigger anywhere from 15-40'. All hits came at 15' down.

we also took a few on a mag spoon and we took 3 fish on a j-13 fire tiger lol. always throw out one or two king seekers during coho season cause ya just never know what might whack it. Tournament was a great time yesterday, excited for the next one even tho I have never seen a laker hit the deck on my boat :P

What a nice turn out for Sunday. Alot of new faces which is great and sounds like everyone had a good time even with a tough bite going.

Thanks Jeff for all your efforts, every year its growing. ;)

A special thanks to Marina Shores and all of our GREAT SPONSORS, thanks for everything you folks do! :cheer:

Was nice to get out and fish sunday. Been trying to work on our older searay (Donna Marie) during the poor weather we had. Finally gor everything done and loaded saturday morning, so figured to try to put her in later in the afternoon. Didn't want to tie up the ramp at Portage, as our Donna Marie had been a sleep for awhile. Didn't put her in last year. So I had all my anxiety to 100% hoping no issues or problems. both engines fired up clean and had no issues after sitting on trailer in the water getting her good and warmed up.
So fishing sunday was fishing her virgin for the first time this year. Added a new HDS Lowrance that I still haven't figured out all the way. I'm not a tech guy. Theres so much stuff that I get confused anymore. What happened to turning a unit on and setting sensitivety?
Caught a few early fish on small scorpion stingers, and then it was a trade of baits the rest of the morning. Try a custom f-11 and got bit. Made changes and then it would go dead. Try something else and get bit, and then that would go dead. Never really had anything of any pattern going. What hurt the most was getting a triple with 40 minutes left and losing all three. Ouch! :S
