Today fished from 5:30 am to noon in front of ditch for steelhead, no fish. Had 6 rods out and fished various depths from 20 feet to 50 feet. Heard from the weigh in station in Michigan City for Skamania Mania that at least 1 person did well on shrimp at the ditch however no large steel head. The largest fish at weigh at noon today was 15 lb 7 ozs. Most of the fish coming out deep, in the streams and Michigan City Harbor. Tournament ends 3 pm on Sunday.

Had 3 sightings of steelead yesterday while fishing the bass tournament. 1 jumped about 4' out of the water right near the Midwest Steel beach, 1 jumped 5 or 6 times between the reef, and the port breakwall, and we saw a guy catch one trolling just north of the reef.
