If the weather holds tomorrow, I would like to get out and shake the cobwebs off. Do you know how early I could launch out of East Chicago?

As far as I know they never "close". I've launched all times of night and early morning, especially in the fall when casting near shore for kings. I have only been turned away once in the last 10 years when the marina was closed due to a private party

I like using East Chicago because its a quick trip to the lake and they have a fish cleaning station...

Beerman, Was that private party around the 4th of July for fireworks? That's the only time I've heard of it closed. Unless of course the launch is iced in.

It was on Labor Day, at 12;00am. Guy at the guard house said it was a New Years Party!
What ever it was there were people walking around everywhere, dressed really nice too. It was very odd to say the least
