Thanks Ed. I'm looking for an opening to get down and try for a doe. I'm seeing them on the cameras again but I'm not sure I want to deal with the snow. I guess that's part of getting older.

The bad part of the late season is the bad weather. I'm with you Tim on not really wanting to deal with this stuff.
Donna and I drove down to scout Saturday evening, deer were starting to get up by 2pm. By 3 they were feeding out in the corn fields. Just have to wait for the right conditions now as I'm just to old to go freeze my butt. Still remember hunting years ago when I was young and dumb in - weather, just don't have it any more.

This season was a good one for us. All our hunters tagged on a buck, and with Starke county going to 3 doe we took advantage of that also. We didn't see hardly any of the really big bucks we have occasionally. Suspect EHD possibly took some of them. We didn't come across any dead deer this season but a farm a few miles east got hit pretty hard. 
Finished my first attemp at Deer Summer Sausage and it came out pretty good. Went with 100% deer instead of 70-30 mix. Next is Deer bacon.
