Maybe it's because no one is talking about getting kings this season or maybe there isn't as many kings as last year or something. For some reason though it seems the kings in Indiana water were as rare as teeth in a chicken's beak. I wonder if all the states have seen a down turn in chinook catch rates? So far it looks as if last season was a great year.

It took me almost 2 years to get my first king and got two in the 3rd week of August last year. I got a king in the spring this year so thought maybe it would be a hot year for kings. Seems from reports through the year, they were here early spring and have scattered now. The last two years I have been fishing Salmon it seems end of July and August are tough for the silvers. Right now I would be happy if the lake laid down for two weeks in a row that I could fish it.
