I checked the kill switch on the water a couple of times but I suppose it could have failed internally. I had my compressor replaced under warranty last year and it turns freely. The motor is a 2009. It's at B&E as we speak and their Opti specialist is going to try and figure out what's wrong today.

Initial check is no fuel pressure in the fuel rails. Check of the fuel pumps revealed a deteriorated pressure seal. New seal in the mail and it will be tested once it comes in. Ethanol fuel sucks! I treat every tank with ethanol treatment and quick cleen and it appears deterioration still occurred. Cheap fix if that turns out to be the problem. Did I put this thread In the wrong section? Sorry!

Seems silly that they can make car engines to run on ethanol without eating up seals and hoses but marine engines and outboards get eaten apart.

I agree. Maybe the new ones can handle it? My engine manual says 10% max ethanol is ok. Plus I use the recommended ethanol treatment on each fill up. I'm assuming ethanol caused the seal to deterioriate but who knows.

Boat is back home in the garage. Rubber pressure seal is the culprit.

Good thing the kicker was there. A rubber seal caused all that trouble. I remember when a rubber o-ring brought down a shuttle. Need to use a more resilient material for fuel line seals. Way to much at stake when one fails.

I told my wife the exact thing about the shuttle. I'm just happy we made it home safely and the problem was very minor. I'm going to Erie for a week in early June. Glad it happened here where I have some friends to help.
