Hope everyone made it thru safely. Mid Chesterton got hit hard. we just got power late last night. No house phone yet but finally have on line services. Drove out east of chesterton to almost walkerton seeing debris almost everywhere we went.

Yes, unbelievable in some areas. We have another 9 or 10 trees down,  had 7 last year from one storm. No biggie as we burn wood.

I have 2 friends without power, and now hearing could be next Friday before it comes back.

Good luck all, as now saying another round Saturday is possible.

We do not have power. Might be one of the last 10 percent to get it back on next Friday.

Sorry for you guys up there. I'm down in Lafayette, thankfully we missed that one, but relentless rain, and another one passing through right now.

We got power back late thursday.  we have 5 trees down and another 2-3 that need to be taken down. When I say trees I am counting anything 2 foot plus diameter, not counting the small stuff.  My son and his GF are staying with us, they live in Dyer, and still have no power.

I feel for those still without.  We just went through 4 days without power a month or two ago. I woke up to a tree in my yard laying across the road and people driving through yards to get to work. Power outages from Angola to Elkhart.  The tough part is no water and refrigeration. We had to drive 7 miles to find coffee in the morning.  It wears on you after a day or two and makes us realize how much we take for granted. My Amish neighbors hardly noticed.  Fortunately for us I was able to bring ice home from the armory and have chainsaws and an outdoor boiler to burn wood.
