Well, we are gonna try it again! The weekend weather forecast is too good to pass up. Reports saying the eyes are still chomping good. Gonna stop by and try Monroe, MI first, then move east if necessary. Reports to follow.

Our trip went pretty good. We started in Monroe Saturday and fished until the wind blew everybody off the lake before noon. We pulled 7 walleye and a mixed bag of everything else, yellow perch, white perch, white bass, smallmouth, and sheephead.

We went over to Port Clinton for afternoon and next day fishing. A big storm blew up and kept everybody off the water Sat pm. Got up Sun am and went to Mazuriks. It was completely empty! Got out ofvthe truck at the ramp and found the wind howling and waves crashing from the north. Decided to high tail it back to Monroe.

Calm water and lots of boats out deeper. We fished shallow again, same as Sat. We filled the box with our two man limit. Couple 16" rest were 18-23". Very respectable box for our standards. Wonder bread Bandits did the best, fruit dots and a green ladderback (name?) did good. We saw another boat use something orange. We didnt have much, but we had a double orange crush super slim spoon, and sent that out on a 3 color lead. It worked, and worked good!

The weather was really nice on Sun. We were down to tee shirts at one point. On the picture of the lake, zoom in to see all the boats out deeper. They may have been doing good, but we had no trouble getting fish in closer, 15-20fow.

We are pretty happy and satisfied with our results. That's 19 on this trip and 9 on the first, so 28 in the freezer. On to some kings!
