First of all, I want to say this site is amazing. Lots of good information as I am new to salmon fishing. We launched out of Portage at 6:45 yesterday and headed to Gary Light because that’s where we heard the action was. The lake was ice free with 1 foot rollers. Other than the colder temps, it would be a perfect day to troll for some Coho. I never thought I would like trolling, but quickly became addicted last year. Well, you have to adapt to the fish and didn’t see anyone trolling. We spot locked along the wall and caught a 3 man limit by 9:30. All but 1 were taken on white Mr. Twister jigs thrown up to the rocks. We caught the 1 on a orange and gold little Cleo. It was a great first outing and can’t wait for more!

Sounds like an awesome day, thanks for reporting.  I see you're running a ProXS. Is that the 4 stroke? If so what hp and how do you like it? I have one coming in 2 long weeks.... just looking for input, thanks
